IT’S TIME TO GET TO THE C.O.R.E.!!!

“The C.O.R.E. purpose is to encourage involvement in Phi Theta Kappa programs and activities, as well as strengthen communication between members.”
Working towards that goal, each Regional Officer will have specific Chapters to contact. The Regional Board is inviting you to participate, and we want to hear from you! If you have questions, concerns, comments, or are in need of any assistance, please contact us!
Chapters are encouraged to call any Regional Officer with an invitation to an Induction, Member Orientation, or Chapter Event. Receiving the invitation at least two weeks prior would be appreciated.

1. Strengthening communication between members through the following initiatives: the sister chapter awareness program, the C.O.R.E. (Chapter Officer Regional Encouragement) Program, recognizing the Alabama-Michigan Sister Region relationship, the use of social networking and reviving “The Michigander” newsletter.
2. Upholding the approved Regional Budget and continuing to eliminate unnecessary expenses.
3. Increase awareness and use of the Regional Website through regular updates and improvements, making it more engaging and interactive.
4. Encouraging involvement in Phi Theta Kappa programs and activities through implementation of the C.O.R.E. Program.
5. Extending the Step Up! Program to all high school students encouraging chapters to contact local NHS (National Honors Society) Coordinators or High School administrators by inviting them to participate with Phi Theta Kappa.
6. Encouraging eligible members to join a Phi Theta Kappa Alumni Association.
